چکیده

The letter presents a theoretical analysis on a performance index for chaotic spreading sequences, which characterizes the multiple access interference introduced by crosscorrelation of a sequence set in asynchronous DS/CDMA systems. Using the ergodic theory, is expressed in terms of ensemble-averaged autocorrelation functions and simple explicit formulae for are obtained, under the assumption of independent seeds. Based on this analysis one can design chaotic spreading sequences performing better than ideal random sequences with respect to multiple access interference.

Performance Evaluation of CDMA Using Chaotic Spreading Sequence with Constant Power in Indoor Power Line Fading Channels

In this study, a performance of a synchronous code division multiple access (CDMA) using the chaotic spreading sequences with constant power is estimated in indoor power line fading channels. It is found that, in the fading channels, as the number of simultaneous users increases, the chaotic spreading sequences realize better performance than the Walsh-Hadamard sequences in the synchronous CDMA...

Performance evaluation of chaotic spreading sequences on software-defined radio

In this paper, bit error performance evaluation of chaotic sequences is presented. Performance of chaotic sequences is evaluated on multiple access spread spectrum system model for USRP software defined radio. LabVIEW is used to perform numerical simulations and bit error rate analysis. Chaotic sequences of different lengths are generated using one-dimensional, two-dimensional, and three-dimens...

Performance Enhancement of Mc-ds/cdma System Using Chaotic Spreading Sequence

A novel chaotic spreading sequences for multi-carrier direct sequence code division multiple access (MCDS/CDMA) system is proposed. With this spreading sequence in the MC-DS/CDMA system, the effect of multiple access interference can be mitigated by choosing the spreading sequences with appropriate crosscorrelation properties. The performance of the system is assayed in the multiuser environmen...

Chaotic Complex Spreading Sequences for Asynchronous DS-CDMA—Part I: System Modeling and Results

This paper and its companion are devoted to the evaluation of the impact of chaos-based techniques on communications systems with asynchronous code division multiple access. Sequences obtained by repeating a truncated and quantized chaotic time series are compared with classical -sequences and Gold sequences by means of a performance index taken from communication theory which is here defined a...

Performance Evaluation of Different DS-CDMA Receivers Using Chaotic Sequences

Spreading codes play an important role in multiple access capacity of DS-CDMA system. M-sequences, gold sequences etc., has been traditionally used as spreading codes in DS-CDMA. These sequences are generated by shift registers, which are periodic in nature. So these sequences are less in number and this limits the security. This paper presents an investigation on use of new type of sequences c...
